A multi-partner program preparing job seekers of determination for employment through coaching, workplace simulations, and employer engagement.
The Inclusive Employment Readiness Program was launched to improve pathways to decent work for people of determination by aligning candidate preparation with real employer expectations. The Third Sector Portal coordinated delivery with rehabilitation specialists, career coaches, and private-sector HR partners.
Program design combined soft-skills development, assistive technology orientation, interview preparation, and workplace communication practice. Participants completed guided simulations modeled on actual entry-level and administrative job environments, allowing trainers to provide targeted feedback before live interviews.
In parallel, we organized employer sensitization sessions covering inclusive hiring practices, reasonable accommodations, and retention support. Over the pilot phase, 96 participants completed the program, 58 were placed in interviews, and 31 secured employment or paid internships within three months.
The project illustrates how practical readiness training and employer-side engagement can work together to produce measurable inclusion outcomes and stronger long-term workforce participation.
